オンラインクラスの三週目の課題はモチーフの刺繍です。どの場所にどのようにモチーフを配置するかを決めるために、もう少しブロック全体の見通しを立てたくて、何か使えるものがないか探してみました。色がぴったりです。
I found these embellishments from my box. Their colors looks nice to my block. They might be used as follow.
たとえばこんなふうに配置してみようと思いました。刺繍はモチーフレースの周辺にすることにしようと思います。上下のピースを結ぶような形のモチーフが刺繍できたらいいと思います。
Therefore I will work motif embroidery definitely around the lace motif. I would like to connect upper and below part of this block with it somehow.
というわけで、まず三週の課題にとりかかる前の準備ができました。

I love that piece of lace! The colors on the flowers definitely go with the block, too. It's a shame that the lace is sort of hidden with the same color behind. I like it in that spot for shape, but I wish the lace stood out more. Maybe that's what your embellishment will make happen!
Susan, you are definitely right. To tell the truth, I didn't think about that. I was thinking only the shape. Is there any way to highlight the lace? How about putting red beads on the edge of petals?
That might work! It's just such a lovely piece, I hate to see it fade into the background. It's so visible against the orange and then . . . not. I'll look forward to seeing what you do with beads on it.
